Winter bare its fang, bringing chilling wind just as the Fall semester ends and makes place for the Winter and Spring break at Nagoya University of Commerce and Business. With approximately 3 months of vacation in total at this period, students have numerous opportunities laid out in front of them.
First of all, it’s crucial to rest one’s mind and body in order to recover and prepare for the next semester and thus, the holiday season is a great time as one could cherish time with family and friends. Travelling is another choice that enables people to open their mind further and enjoy the discovery and exploration of the unknown, creating memories and bringing peace of mind.
But 3 months is a long period and the available time should also be used wisely. In our Global BBA curriculum, we recommend our students to go on internships or volunteering in order to gain important knowledge professional experience, while contributing to the society to have a better view of the bigger picture that awaits.

Another way to make good use of the time is to read. Reading, whether it’s mandatory and complementary readings of any course or chosen voluntarily, nurtures the person through new knowledge and point of views. If there are any subjects that caused problems during the past semester, then it could be a good moment to review its elements. It’s also a great time to pick up books that hold interest and start gaining an habit to read often.
Ultimately, the students make the choice and, while considering numerous factors, they should make the choice that they deem best for themselves at the moment and just make the best out of what they chose to do in the end, using the opportunity to its fullest extent.
Nagoya University of Commerce and Business wishes everyone all the best for 2019, hoping that 2018 had been a great journey! Our Nisshin / Nagakute campus will be open from Monday, the 7th of January, 2019.
